The WBC Muay Thai Diamond Title is a commemorative, stand-alone title awarded by the WBC Muay Thai to elite level fighters outside of the regular championship structure.
The Diamond title is sanctioned on a case by case basis, typically to recognise a fighter who has achieved exceptional success across their Muay Thai career, often including former WBC Muay Thai World Title holders, or to mark a momentous or historic occasion within the sport. The Diamond belt does not require defence; once awarded, it is kept permanently as a record of a unique achievement in Muay Thai history.

Who Can Fight For The WBC Muay Thai Diamond Title?
The WBC Muay Thai Diamond Title is rare because it is not tied to rankings, mandatory challengers, or annual schedules. It is only sanctioned when the WBC Muay Thai determines that a fighter’s career achievements or a specific bout warrants Diamond status, with eligibility typically limited to former WBC Muay Thai World Champions.
What Are Commemorative Belts In WBC Muay Thai?
Commemorative belts are special championship titles created by WBC Muay Thai outside of the organisation’s regular world title structure. Unlike standard championships, commemorative belts are awarded selectively to recognise historic occasions, elite fighters, cultural significance, or special international events within Muay Thai.
These titles are typically sanctioned on a case-by-case basis and generally do not require mandatory title defences after being won.
Alongside the Diamond Championship, WBC Muay Thai has also introduced other commemorative titles including the Nai Khanom Tom for male fighters and the Muay Ying for female fighters.
