Muay Thai Records (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”) explains in this Privacy Policy how we collect, use, store, and process personal data under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. By using the Site, you (“User”, “you”) agree to the terms below.

2. Data We Collect
We collect (i) account data (email, username, password hash, profile details), (ii) login data via Google/Apple/OAuth, (iii) usage data (IP address, country, device, browser, OS, pages viewed, video views, search queries, user activity), (iv) interaction data (comments, posts, likes, follows, pick’ems selections and results), (v) purchase data processed via Stripe, (vi) fighter data (names, stats, records, DOB, height, weight, reach, stance, gym, location, titles, socials, images), (vii) event data (event names, dates, locations, times, posters, logos, organizers, PPV links, ticket links), and (viii) analytics data from Google Analytics and other providers.
3. How Data Is Collected
Data is collected via (i) account creation, (ii) third-party authentication, (iii) cookies and analytics, (iv) user submissions, (v) comments and interactions, (vi) Stripe transactions, (vii) publicly available sources (social media, event pages), and (viii) automated technical logs.
4. Legal Bases
We process personal data under (i) contract performance (accounts, purchases, access), (ii) legitimate interests (sporting records, platform security, analytics, content recommendations, fraud prevention), (iii) legal obligations (financial records, compliance), and (iv) consent (optional email alerts, cookies where required).
5. How We Use Data
We use data to (i) operate the platform, (ii) display fighter/event data, (iii) provide pick’ems, comments, and interactive features, (iv) personalise content, (v) process payments via Stripe, (vi) send email notifications users opt into, (vii) maintain accurate sporting records, (viii) detect abuse, and (ix) improve the Site.
6. Data Sharing
We share data with trusted processors including Stripe, Google Analytics, Cloudflare, AWS EU Region, DigitalOcean, email service providers, authentication providers (Google, Apple), and analytics partners. All processing is conducted under UK GDPR-compliant agreements.
7. International Transfers
Some data may be transferred outside the UK/EU. Transfers rely on adequacy regulations, Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent safeguards provided by third-party services.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies for authentication, analytics, device identification, preferences, security, and performance. A separate Cookies Policy may apply.
9. User Rights
Under UK GDPR, you may access your data, correct inaccuracies, request erasure (except public sporting facts), restrict processing, object to processing, request portability, withdraw consent, and file complaints with the ICO. You can delete your account at any time, which permanently erases all personal account data.
10. Data Retention
We retain account data until deletion, transactional data as required by law, analytics data per provider rules, fighter and event data indefinitely as public sporting records, and comments/interactions until account deletion or removal.
11. Security
We use HTTPS encryption, secure servers, Cloudflare protection, access controls, AWS/DigitalOcean security features, and monitoring. No system is 100% secure.
12. Children
The Site is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly process data from children under 13.
13. Public Sporting Data
Fighter results, event outcomes, and public athletic information are processed under Legitimate Interests and are generally not subject to erasure, as they form part of public sporting records.
14. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
