Barbara Aguiar Becomes 2x Rajadamnern Stadium Champion

By:

Barbara Aguiar is once again the queen of Rajadamnern. The Brazilian outpointed Canada’s Morgane Pouliot by unanimous decision (48–47 on all three scorecards) to capture the Rajadamnern Stadium Female Bantamweight World Title at Rajadamnern World Series 180 on 7 February 2026.

Contested at 53.52kg (118lbs), the five round battle delivered everything expected of a championship main event - tempo, tension and relentless exchanges from start to finish.

Aguiar, a former titleholder, had to dig deep against a fearless Pouliot, who pressed forward throughout and refused to give an inch. With the belt vacant coming into the contest, every round carried added weight.

In the end, it was Aguiar’s cleaner work and championship poise that swayed the judges, all three returning identical 48–47 scorecards in her favour.

The victory sees Aguiar crowned a two time Rajadamnern Stadium Female Bantamweight World Champion - a historic milestone inside one of Muay Thai’s most iconic venues.

Both fighters were rewarded for their efforts, with Aguiar collecting a 150,000 Baht Winner Bonus along with a 100,000 Baht Fighter’s Spirit Bonus, taking her total purse in bonuses to 250,000 Baht.

Pouliot, despite falling short on the scorecards, received a 100,000 Baht Fighter’s Spirit Bonus in recognition of her relentless performance.

On a night that showcased elite level female Muay Thai, both women left Rajadamnern with enhanced reputations - but it is Aguiar who leaves Bangkok with the belt once again.
