Mia Skeer produced a statement performance to defeat Danielle Butler by unanimous decision this weekend, capturing the Interim ISKA Muay Thai Super-Flyweight World Title (53.5kg) and taking the UK No. 1 spot.
The bout took place on the collaborative event 'North v South' put together by Combat Fight Series and Enigma Fight Series at The Toughsheet Stadium in Bolton, where Skeer entered as the UK’s No.2 and faced Butler, who held the top spot.
Over the distance, Skeer controlled proceedings to secure a clear unanimous decision victory, ending Butler’s run as UK No.1 and moving herself to the top of the domestic rankings.
The interim title bout came after the reigning champion Leonie Hardman was forced to withdraw from a scheduled defence against Skeer due to injury. Hardman, who won the ISKA Muay Thai Super-Flyweight World Title back in December 2024, shared that she had torn cartilage in her knee and would be sidelined, stating she was “devastated” to pull out and would return to the ring as soon as possible.
