Former multi-time world champion Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong has been announced to face Brazilian contender Luis Cajaiba for the WBC Muay Thai Diamond Belt at the Amazing MuayThai World Festival 2026 in Bangkok.
The bout will take place on the festival’s closing showcase event card at Rajadamnern Stadium and is expected to serve as Sitthichai’s farewell fight.
Sitthichai enters the contest as one of the sport’s most accomplished competitors of the modern era. The Thai star is a seven-time GLORY Kickboxing world champion and successfully defended his title six times during his reign. He is also a former Lumpinee Stadium champion and has competed extensively on the international stage, including as a regular competitor for ONE Championship between 2020 and 2025.
Across his career, Sitthichai has built a reputation as one of Thailand’s elite striking exports, competing against many of the top names in kickboxing and Muay Thai over the past decade.
Standing opposite him will be former WBC Muay Thai World champion Cajaiba, who has also held the WBC Muay Thai Super-Welterweight International title on two occasions.
The Brazilian has competed across several major Muay Thai promotions, including RWS, LWC Super Champ and the 1774 Muay Thai Series, establishing himself as one of South America’s leading representatives in the sport.
Since it's introduction in 2011, only 14 fighters have been awarded a WBC Muay Thai Diamond Belt.
The event will also feature a WBC Muay Thai Light Flyweight World Title clash between Australia’s Kim Townsend and Switzerland’s Aline Seiberth.
Townsend and Seiberth will compete for world championship honours as part of an international card expected to attract athletes and supporters from across the global Muay Thai community.
The Amazing Muay Thai World Festival has become one of the sport’s major international events, bringing together elite-level competition, cultural celebrations and amateur tournaments across multiple days in the heart of Thailand.
