Dylan Salvador Captures WBC Muay Thai Super Welterweight World Title in Lyon

Dylan Salvador claimed the WBC Muay Thai Super Welterweight World Title this weekend in Lyon, defeating Thai contender Kongjak PorPaoin in the main event of Le Nuit De Challenge.

The victory took place in front of a home crowd, marking a significant moment for the 32-year-old French standout, who has competed across Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and MMA during his long international career.

Born in Lyon in 1993, Salvador began competing professionally in 2011 and quickly established himself as one of France’s most technically gifted strikers. Over more than a decade, he has collected notable wins across Muay Thai and Kickboxing, including victories over top names such as Kaew Fairtex and Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, as well as tournament success under the GLORY Kickboxing banner where he won the 2016 Lightweight Contender 4 man Tournament.

Saturday's world title bout marked a return to high-level Muay Thai competition for Salvador, who, after five rounds was awarded the decision win and the green WBC World Championship strap - adding another major accolade to a combat sports resume.
