Niall McGreevy Retains WBC Muay Thai Welterweight World Title in Glasgow
Ireland’s Niall McGreevy successfully defended his WBC Muay Thai Welterweight World Title with a unanimous decision victory over Germany’s Arjan Hajdari at the HungrySide event in Glasgow, Scotland, on September 20th, 2025.
Hajdari came out aggressive in the opening round, but McGreevy adjusted as the fight developed, using body kicks, long teeps, and knees at range to control the action and dictate the tempo over the remainder of the contest.
McGreevy’s opponent, Arjan Hajdari, previously held the WBC Muay Thai Super Welterweight World Title, winning the belt in October 2024 against Carlos Guerreiro.
The bout went the distance, with McGreevy successfully defending his WBC Muay Thai Welterweight World Title by unanimous decision.
