RWS Muay Thai has announced the winners of the 2026 Best International Muay Thai Fighter Awards, recognising three standout international athletes for their performances and contributions to the sport throughout the 2025 season.
The awards were presented at the conclusion of the RWS 176 event at Rajadamnern Stadium on January 10th, 2026, bringing the event to a close with a celebration of international talent.
This year’s recipients were honored across three categories:
- Best International Male Fighter - Karl Tannian
- Best International Female Fighter - Barbara Aguiar
- Best International Rising Star - Marie Ruumet
As part of the award, each winner received a Thailand Privilege membership that includes a 5 year visa.
Karl Tannian (Ireland)
Tannian competed five times on RWS in 2025, winning all five bouts. Notable performances included a first round knockout of Suapetch in October.
Barbara Aguiar (Brazil)
Aguiar, who trains out of Phuket Top Team, went 2-0 on RWS during 2025. She captured the vacant Rajadamnern Stadium Bantamweight title early in the year and successfully defended it in October against Maria Eduarda.
Marie Ruumet (Estonia)
Ruumet finished 2025 with a record of 2-1 on RWS. Her season included a third round stoppage of Wanfai Kiatniran in November.
