Global Muay Thai brand Yokkao announced a strategic partnership with Hitman Fight League (HFL), one of the UK’s leading Muay Thai promotions.
The collaboration aims to strengthen Yokkao's presence in the UK, increasing the visibility of the brand by providing equipment for fighters on the shows.
From 2014 to 2021, Yokkao hosted events in the UK and were regarded as one of the country's top promotions. They brought Thai legends like Saenchai, Superlek, Singdam, Pakorn, and Manachai to compete in the UK. Their events have also showcased elite talent from Britain such as fighters; Jonathan Haggerty, Liam Harrison, Joe Ryan, Dan McGowan, Jordan Watson, and Keith McLachlan.
Hitman Fight League, led by Liam Harrison, Andy Howson and Simon Jays, hosted their first event in April 2023 and have since grown the promotion to be one of the UK’s most anticipated shows.
Harrison stated that he’s looking to 'bring back them atmospheres that the old Yokkao shows had.' Having previously fought on Yokkao events 10 times throughout his career, the shows weren’t just instrumental in growing the sport in the UK - they played a big role in shaping him as a fighter.
The collaboration allows Harrison to give back to the next generation of fighters, helping them gain the same opportunities that shaped his own career. As he now fights on the upcoming Hitman Fight League x Yokkao event that he’s also promoting. It’s a full-circle moment - building and returning to the stage that helped define him at the latter end of his fighting journey.
The first Hitman Fight League x Yokkao event will take place on Saturday, 8th March 2025 in front of a sold out Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester.
